Dynamic knee valgus is one of the most important risk factors for anterior cruciate ligament injury, which has a high prevalence in jump-landing-based sports such as volleyball. Despite the importance of this issue, the effect of progressive jump-landing exercises has not yet been specifically examined in female volleyball players. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the effect of an eight-week progressive jump-landing training protocol (three sessions per week) on the Landing Error Scoring System (LESS) score, landing kinematics, trunk stability, dynamic balance (Y Balance Test), and jumping performance (Sargent Jump Test). This quasi-experimental study, using a pre-test/post-test design, will be conducted on 40 female volleyball players aged 18 to 25 from Qom province who present with dynamic knee valgus; participants will be randomly assigned to an experimental group and a control group (20 each). Variables will be measured using video recording, Kinovea software, the double-leg squat test, LESS, the Y Balance Test, the Sargent Jump Test, and the McGill test, and data will be analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk and ANOVA tests in SPSS software. The results are expected to contribute to the design of knee injury prevention programs and to improving the athletic performance of female volleyball players.
