The present study aims to determine the relationship between perceived parenting styles and problem-solving skills, assertiveness, and social adjustment among female junior high school students in Kerman. As the first and most important environment for individual development, the family plays a significant role in shaping adolescents’ psychological and social characteristics. Parenting practices may be associated with how adolescents deal with problems, appropriately express their needs and feelings, and adjust to their social environment. Therefore, examining the relationship between parenting styles and these skills may contribute to a better understanding of family-related factors associated with adolescents’ psychological and social development.

This study employs a quantitative survey approach and is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive in nature. The statistical population consists of all female junior high school students in Kerman in 1405 (Iranian calendar). A sample of 150 students will be selected using multistage cluster sampling.
