Unaccompanied and maltreated adolescents living in care centers are exposed to serious harm in the areas of self-concept, self-control, and empathy due to the lack of secure attachment and early adverse experiences. This study was designed with the aim of *"Developing and validating the "I" empowerment package based on a psychodynamic approach and examining its effectiveness on self-concept, self-control, and empathy in unaccompanied adolescents living in welfare centers." This study is of an applied type and will be implemented in two phases; in the first phase, the "I" empowerment package will be developed and validated by reviewing the literature and seeking opinions from experts. In the second phase, the effectiveness of this package will be measured on a sample of adolescents (13 to 18 years old) using a quasi-experimental design (pre-test-post-test with a control and follow-up group). The intervention consists of 12 90-minute group sessions that focus on exploring internal experiences, regulating emotions, and strengthening psychodynamic insight. The research instruments include standard self-concept, self-control, and empathy questionnaires that will be completed in three stages (pre-test, post-test, and follow-up).

It is expected that the implementation of this package will lead to improved adolescents' self-image, increased ability to control impulses, and enhanced empathetic skills by reducing emotional and behavioral gaps caused by the institutional environment. The results of this study can be used as a structured treatment protocol to improve the mental health and social adjustment of adolescents in welfare centers, and to partially fill the gap in interventions focused on analytical approaches for this vulnerable population.
