Prediction of Sleep Quality and Anxiety Based on Physical Activity Level, Exercise Motivation, and Quality of Life in Individuals Living in War‑Affected Regions
Sleep quality and anxiety are considered important indicators of mental health and can be influenced by psychological, behavioral, and environmental factors. Living in war-affected areas, through displacement, social instability, and exposure to traumatic events, has profound consequences for individuals' mental health and sleep patterns. The present study aims to investigate the role of physical activity, exercise motivation, and quality of life in predicting anxiety and sleep quality among individuals residing in war-affected areas.
This study will employ a descriptive-correlational, cross-sectional design. The target population will consist of young adults aged 18–30 years living in urban areas affected by previous military conflicts. A total of 206 participants will be selected using a convenience sampling method.
Data will be collected using the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), the Participation Motivation Questionnaire (PMQ), the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), and the World Health Organization Quality of Life Questionnaire—Brief Version (WHOQOL-BREF).
The data will be analyzed using Spearman's rank-order correlation coefficient and simultaneous multiple regression analysis in SPSS.
