Introduction and Objective: Genu valgum is a common skeletal malalignment in adolescents that can lead to kinematic changes in gait and joint injuries. The present study aims to investigate and compare the effect of gait retraining with and without the use of a stretch loop on lower limb kinematics in adolescent boys with genu valgum.

Methods: This study uses a pre-test/post-test design. The statistical sample includes 24 adolescent male students (12-18 years old) from Qom schools with genu valgum, randomly divided into two equal groups (experimental: with stretch loop, control: without stretch loop). The 6-week training protocol consists of 3 sessions per week, involving tandem gait exercises on stable and unstable surfaces. Kinematic gait variables will be analyzed using reflective markers, video recording, and Kinovea software. Written informed consent will be obtained from the parents of all subjects prior to the study.

Expected Results: It is expected that the stretch loop intervention, by providing controlled resistance, will significantly improve spatio-temporal parameters and lower limb joint angles.

Conclusion: The findings of this study could provide corrective exercise specialists and teachers with a practical and safe approach to prevent the progression of genu valgum and correct movement patterns in adolescent students
