Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) during adolescence can create various challenges for adolescents, their families, and educational environments. Families, particularly parents or primary caregivers, play an important role in managing daily situations, providing emotional support, following treatment processes, and adapting to the adolescent’s needs. However, the lived experiences of families in dealing with these challenges and the coping strategies they use require deeper exploration. Therefore, the present study aims to explore the challenges and coping strategies of families with adolescents diagnosed with ADHD. This study will be conducted using a qualitative approach and individual semi-structured interviews. Participants will include parents or primary caregivers of adolescents aged 12 to 18 years with a diagnosis of ADHD. They will be selected through purposeful sampling while considering diversity among participants. Data will be collected after obtaining informed consent and will be analyzed using thematic analysis. It is expected that the findings of this study will contribute to a better understanding of families’ needs, pressures, sources of support, and coping methods. The results may also provide a basis for designing more effective family-centered interventions, educational programs, and supportive services for families of adolescents with ADHD.
