Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a serious and complex psychological disorder that poses significant challenges for patients, professionals, and researchers. Important treatments, including mentalization-based therapy have been developed to treat this disorder. Epistemic trust is an important concept in mentalization-based therapy that plays a significant role in establishing therapeutic alliance and improving treatment outcomes. The design of this study consists of two parts. The first phase of the present study aims to identify the scope of existing studies in the field of Epistemic trust and analyze the factors affecting the restoration of epistemological trust in individuals with borderline personality disorder in mentalization-based therapy. In the second phase, using the factors found in the domain review, a therapeutic training program will be designed to restore Epistemic trust in individuals with borderline personality disorder based on mentalization-based therapy interventions and its effectiveness on mentalization, Epistemic trust, and the level of personality functioning of individuals with borderline personality traits will be measured.
