Adolescence is one of the most crucial stages of human life, marked by significant physical, psychological, and social changes. During this period, loneliness and stress are common issues that can severely impact adolescents' mental health. These challenges, often exacerbated by the search for identity and the need for social connection, pose serious risks to emotional well-being. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in reducing levels of stress and loneliness among adolescents. The research focuses on the role of social interactions, the need for belonging, and the detrimental effects of loneliness on both the mental and physical health of teenagers. Additionally, it emphasizes the importance of psychological interventions, particularly CBT, in addressing these issues and improving adolescents’ mental health. Given the high prevalence of stress and loneliness among Iranian adolescents and the limited local research in this area, this study aims to provide practical solutions to enhance the mental health of this vulnerable age group. By identifying the impact of CBT, this research contributes to the broader understanding of how psychological therapies can help adolescents cope with stress and loneliness, ultimately promoting a healthier psychological development.
