Artificial intelligence has drastically changed parenting practices due to its unique use of new technologies in learning, decision-making, and personalization of services. This study aims to develop a model of parents' use of AI-based technologies in the parenting process, with a qualitative approach and a data-based approach, and based on the systematic model of Strauss and Corbin (2014). The statistical population of this study includes all parents with children in the city of Qazvin who use AI-based technologies and tools directly or indirectly in the process of raising, educating, caring for, or monitoring their children. In this study, the selection of participants will be carried out in a purposeful and accessible manner, emphasizing the principle of maximum diversity. Given the nature of data-based research, the sample size is not definitively predetermined, but it is expected that between 20 and 25 parents will be interviewed until theoretical saturation. Data will be collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews. Ethical principles will be adhered to throughout all stages of the present study, from design and data collection to analysis and reporting. Finally, the extracted model will be presented as a grounded and indigenous theory of how parents use AI in the parenting process, reflecting the real experiences of parents in the cultural and social context of Iran.
