DKV is a lower limb movement pattern that combines hip adduction and internal rotation, knee abduction, tibial anterior translation and tibial external rotation, and ankle eversion. During this pattern, the midline of the knee is displaced beyond the line of the foot and thigh.

One key aspect of protecting individuals at risk for such injuries is injury prevention. In recent decades, efforts have been made to identify risk factors for this injury and to develop and implement interventions to eliminate these factors.

Wilczynski et al., in a review article, identified five categories of modifiable factors that contribute to DKV:

1. The influence of the trunk neural controller on knee pain

2. Hip strength and activation

3. The role of hamstring and quadriceps strength and activation in knee stabilization

4. The possible influence of ankle range of motion (ROM)

5. Postural Balance



Various studies have clearly demonstrated that the relationship between these and DKV is undoubtedly related to the motor tasks used to assess valgus. Differences in these motor patterns can make a significant difference in the results of knee valgus angles.

In general, the use of function in different DKV tests varies. In recent years, many studies have been conducted on this. However, no article has examined the extent of the effects of DKV according to the tests. It is not clear to what extent each test plays a role in each test. The purpose of this study is to analyze the functional use of tests, selected lines on DKV.

In this study, the relationship between 5 indicators of knee valgus angle, isometric trunk flexion and extension strength, isometric hip abductor, adductor, external rotator and internal rotator strength, isometric quadriceps and hamstring strength, ankle dorsiflexion vertical movement, single-leg landing and single-leg squat is calculated and measured. Also, to measure the ankle dorsiflexion angle and compare the tests, Lunge and Y-balance tests are performed, respectively.
