Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) is a prevalent issue among elementary-aged children, often overlapping with learning disabilities and affecting motor, cognitive, and academic domains. This study aimed to design a cognitive rehabilitation package based on the Phelps Sentence Guide and to evaluate its impact on reading and writing abilities in children aged 7–10 diagnosed with DCD. A mixed-method sequential exploratory design was employed. The qualitative phase utilized inductive content analysis of academic literature and expert feedback to extract key components of the package. The quantitative phase applied a pretest-posttest approach with a control group to assess effectiveness. Participants included students from Tehran's District 17 and professionals in the field of exceptional child psychology. Data collection instruments comprised standardized reading and writing assessments. The findings confirmed the scientific validity and substantial positive effect of the package on core literacy skills. The study highlights the necessity of structured cognitive interventions to enhance educational experiences and developmental outcomes for children with special needs.
