The stability and promotion of the couple relationship are considered essential elements of family health; this importance is doubly important in families with a child who is experiencing a change. The presence of such a child can create significant psychological, emotional, and communication challenges among parents and affect the quality and continuity of their married life. In the meantime, the "contribution" approach, as a perspective based on monotheistic ontology, can be effective in redefining the lived experiences of parents and giving meaning to their roles and responsibilities.
The present study aims to identify the components of stability and promotion of the couple relationship in parents with a child who is experiencing a change, focusing on the contribution approach. The research method is qualitative, using content analysis.
Participants will be selected from among parents with a child who is experiencing a physical-motor change in Tehran's second district using a purposive sampling method.
The data collection tool will be a semi-structured interview, and data analysis will be done through coding and theme extraction.
The results of this study can be useful in understanding the factors affecting the stability of couples' relationships in specific situations, enriching the intervention programs of counseling centers, and designing effective support policies for families with children with other experiences.
