This proposal, titled "Predicting Social Network Addiction Based on Social Anxiety and Loneliness with the Mediating Role of Emotion Regulation in High School Students", focuses on investigating the relationship between social anxiety, loneliness, and social media addiction by considering the role of emotion regulation. The aim of this study was to determine the role of emotion regulation in this regard, which can be helpful in the development of intervention and prevention strategies. The research is of an applied type and based on previous research literature, it proposes hypotheses about the effects of social anxiety and loneliness on social media addiction, and the role of emotion regulation in this direction. The sample group includes high school students, and the measurement tools include psychological questionnaires designed for anxiety, loneliness, and addiction. Also, the obtained data will be analysed by multiple regression method.The results of this study can be useful for interventional planning to reduce technology addiction and improve adolescent mental health. This project emphasises the importance of recognising the psychological factors affecting concerns about unsustainable and excessive use of social media and aims to facilitate the promotion of mental and social health among students by providing solutions based on scientific findings.
