The present study aims to identify the risks faced by migrant child laborers and the strategies they use to cope with these challenges.

The target group of this research consists of Afghan migrant boys aged 8 to 18 who work in the streets, markets, and other public spaces in District 12 of Tehran.

These children, in addition to the common issues related to child labor, such as exploitation, violence, and insecurity, also experience discrimination, social exclusion, and lack of legal protection due to their migrant status, which exposes them to compounded challenges.

This research adopts a qualitative approach using semi-structured interviews, and sampling will be conducted purposefully.

The main focus is on understanding these children's lived experiences of environmental and social risks and their coping strategies.

The significance of this study lies in its potential to provide a more accurate understanding of the situation of migrant child laborers, which can support the development of more effective support interventions, more precise social policies, and enhanced responsiveness from responsible institutions.
