The study of individual differences, especially in areas such as intelligence and personality, is of particular importance, as these characteristics have a significant impact on cognitive performance (Chamorro-Premuzic, 2011). While a large part of these differences may be rooted in heredity, environmental, educational, and training factors are also effective in the formation and development of these characteristics (Gustafsson & Andheim, 1996). In the future, especially by 2050, major changes in selection and assessment processes will occur due to technological advances and machine learning that could transform our understanding of personality, intelligence, and individual differences (Farnham, 2008). The use of new psychometric models such as explanatory models (EIRT) can support these changes and help to more accurately analyze individual differences. The present study attempts to examine the relationship between intelligence, personality, and cognitive performance and respond to these future trends.

The EIRT model is a powerful tool for analyzing individual differences due to its ability to combine response speed and individual characteristics (Kuzmina, 2023). In studies that seek to improve individual assessments in educational and occupational contexts, using this model can provide more valid and accurate results.
