Entering university and experiencing university or college life is one of the most important challenges of youth. university life changes the former lifestyle and faces students with many challenges. One of the most important challenges is the feeling of loneliness, which can have different effects on people's lives, mental health, and social and academic performance. Attachment styles and perceived emotional intelligence are among the most important psychological constructs that affect people's personality and their resilience in the feeling of loneliness, which have been mentioned in many articles. In this research, we intend to evaluate the feeling of loneliness in students and measure their attachment style and study their perceived emotional intelligence as a mediating variable, and therefore study the relationship between insecure attachment and feeling of loneliness, the relationship between perceived emotional intelligence and the feeling of loneliness and the mediating role of perceived emotional intelligence in this relationship. This research will be conducted using instruments and questionnaires that have high validity and reliability on about 400 undergraduate and graduate students and the data will be analyzed using special statistical methods. In this research, we will try to use the most up-to-date and appropriate tools and methods for analysis. This study will also comply with the research ethical requirements in all stages and processes of research and data collection.
