Introduction:

Recent estimates show that the population of adults (over 60 years old) will reach 2 billion from 650 million by 2050. For this purpose, this study was designed with the aim of investigating the effect of a course of hydrotherapy and Otago exercise protocol at the same time on selected factors of general health, balance and quality of life in the elderly

Necessity of research:

The current research is very important in the field of improving the quality of life, reducing the risks associated with old age and promoting public health, and it can help to improve the health and well-being of the elderly

Check method:

The current research will be semi-experimental. The examiner intends to investigate the effect of applying independent variables (hydrotherapy exercises, Otago exercises and combined exercises) on the dependent variable (selected indices of general health, balance and quality of life). The sampling method in this research is purposeful and the subjects were included in the research according to the entry criteria.



Statistical method:

In this research, descriptive statistics will be used for the demographic characteristics of the subjects, such as age, height, weight, etc. In the inferential statistics section, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test will be used for the normality of the data, and the dependent t-test will be used to examine the groups, and also the one-way analysis of variance test and the post hoc test will be used for the minimum significant difference of the test. The significance level in all tests will be 0.05
