Statement of the problem: Sprain is the most common type of injury to this joint. The frequent occurrence of lateral instability of the ankle leads to chronic instability of the ankle and as a result, frequent sprains of the ankle. gets up Chronic instability is caused by 2 complications: mechanical instability and functional instability. Functional instability of the ankle reduces the ability to control the position, which appears as weakness in muscle strength, balance, proprioception, and neuromuscular control. New generation Kinesio tape It is a treatment that is currently used immediately after an injury and during rehabilitation.

Methodology: To determine the severity of functional instability of people, we use the Cumberland Questionnaire, which was introduced by Hiller in 2006 for the first time. In order to facilitate the sense of proprioception, the kinesio type banding technique attached to the participant's skin.

In this research, in order to investigate the short-term effect of taping, kinesio tape is applied on the ankles of the examinees by an examiner in two instants and after 24 hours. The scores of all 3 balance tests, Y, proprioceptive and LESS, are recorded before and after applying tip and also after 24 hours.

objectives:

1- Short-term effect of kinesio tape on lower limb balance in athletes with functional ankle instability.

2- Short-term effect of kinesio tape on lower limb proprioception in athletes with functional ankle instability.

3- Short-term effect of kinesio tape on LESS score in athletes with functional ankle instability.
