During life, a person faces different events and experiences, which can be favorable or unfavorable and unfortunate. Unfortunate life events are specific events that increase a person's vulnerability to potential threats. During and after the occurrence of an unfortunate experience, people experience a series of physical, emotional, cognitive, behavioral, relational, and spiritual reactions that can lead to feelings of imbalance and threat. One of the psychological capitals that can help people to better manage the situation in the face of unfortunate events and difficult situations is resilience. Resilience means resisting stress and returning to normal balance after experiencing stressful factors.

Considering that few researches have been done in Iran about the resilience of mothers in unfortunate life events; In this research, we aim to deeply examine the lived experiences of mothers' resilience in unfortunate life events. Since resilience is a very important component in people's mental health, and facing unfortunate events in human life is inevitable, it is important to conduct such research to help improve the health of society. The study population includes the research participants who were selected from the mothers of Tehran city in 1403 who have experienced at least one unfortunate event. To conduct this research, a qualitative method using a phenomenological approach will be used.
