Introduction: Marital relationship has been described as the most important and basic human relationship, because it provides a basic structure for establishing a family relationship and satisfaction with life. Research results have shown that marital satisfaction is directly and indirectly related to family stability and higher quality of life (Launer, Carney and Bradbury, 2016).

Purpose: The purpose of the current research in the qualitative phase is to identify the main components and factors influencing religious orientation in marital relationships.

Materials and methods: The current research is a mixed study that takes place in two stages:

First stage: In the first stage, the research method is of a qualitative type, which uses the contextual theory method of the couple's experience regarding religious orientation and its role in marital relations.

The second stage: In the second stage, the research method is of a quantitative type, which according to its purpose is of the applied research type, and in terms of the method of data collection and analysis, it is a descriptive method and of the correlation design type, in which the relationship between the variables It is analyzed based on the purpose of the research, and it is specifically based on structural equation modeling, which can be considered as a causal research.
