Although other senses provide valuable information, it is the sense of sight that provides the most reliable and detailed information about the surrounding environment to a person quickly and accounts for nearly 1/3 of human brain processing. One of the most common disabilities and causes of functional disability among adults is visual impairment, which is referred to as blindness and low vision, which affects mobility and daily activities. The first and most used sense in humans is vision, which the blind person is deprived of (the effect of stability exercises in the central body region on the static and dynamic balance of blind female athletes, 2012). Worldwide, about 36 million people are living with a visual impairment. In terms of the prevalence of blindness by age distribution, about 1.4 million children aged 0-14 years are currently living with blindness, while approximately 17.5 million are at risk of developing low vision. The rate of blindness among children is reported to be about 70 million. Although the actual number of blind children is less than blind adults, the years of blindness in children are more and this has an important effect on social and economic dimensions.
