Marriage is one of the unique relationships in which each couple can experience the deepest feelings. A successful marriage and the formation of a stable family increase people's health and vitality and satisfy their physical and psychological needs. Conflict is also a phenomenon that occurs parallel to love in a marital relationship and is an inevitable thing. On the other hand, personality refers to a stable and personal pattern of cognition, emotions, and behaviors that differ between individuals. These patterns are described in terms of personality traits. The personality traits of two life partners have the ability to make the marriage stable and satisfactory or unstable and without satisfaction.
The results of this research can be effective in family dimensions to help increase the stability of families and reduce marital conflicts, as well as increase the understanding of couples about each other, and can be used by counselors and therapists in the field of family, couples, and premarital counseling for individuals.
The goals of this research are: to identify the state of stability of the traits of couples based on their lived experiences in couples with a stable married life and in couples with marital conflict.
In this research, qualitative research method with descriptive phenomenological approach will be used. The population studied in this research will be selected in a targeted and accessible way from among couples with a stable married life and couples with marital conflict in Zanjan city in 1403.
