This study aims to develop and validate an educational package for marital preparation based on the psychological factors associated with delayed marriage among women over 40 years of age, and to examine its effectiveness on attitudes toward spouse selection, fear of marriage, and marriage desire among single women. The rise in the age of marriage and the increasing prevalence of permanent singlehood, especially among women, constitute major social and psychological challenges in contemporary Iranian society and underscore the need for evidence-based educational interventions. In this study, the psychological factors contributing to delayed marriage will first be identified through the lived experiences of single women over 40 years of age. Based on these findings, the content of the educational package will be developed to meet the needs of single women in two age groups: 20–30 and 31–40 years. Next, the face and content validity of the package will be evaluated and confirmed by experts. Finally, the effectiveness of the educational package will be assessed in terms of attitudes toward spouse selection, fear of marriage, and marriage desire. It is expected that the findings of this study will provide a practical intervention model for enhancing marriage readiness and improving marriage-related attitudes among single women.
