First, the researcher aims to examine how narrative elements, specifically character and spatial setting, are prioritized in the audio descriptions currently produced in Iran.

Second, the study seeks to explore how sighted viewers prioritize these same narrative elements while watching films, in order to identify patterns of visual attention and their priorities that can assist the production of more effective audio descriptions.

Third, the study aims to compare the already produced ADs with the results gained for the eye tracking of sighted viewers to assess whether the audio descriptions currently produced in Iran actually make films accessible to blind viewers and to what extent they succeed in approximating the viewing experience of sighted audiences.

Finally, based on the data obtained from eye-tracking of sighted viewers, the study aims to produce a new audio description and test it with blind participants in a comparative study against existing audio descriptions that were produced traditionally without taking into consideration the eye-tracking data. The goal is to evaluate which version results in higher comprehension and accessibility and is preferred by the blind audience.
